Personally I care little for sly-look-alikes and stick with the Metrix type skins which IMHO are much snappier. On the OpenATV UX point - I know what you mean about a 'clunky' experience (even on a box as capable as a H9). I haven't played with that for a while, but as you probably already know, the choices you have are quite extensive when you start to go down a rabbit hole like that. So is this possible, has anyone had experience of installing an Emby Server on OpenATV or an Enigma2 box (I can SSH into my box if that helps?) I like the Emby client UI in terms of recording + EPG guide etc.
Emby client docker install#
So its seems that *IF* I could install an Emby server onto the zgemma, in theory I could either feed the `m3u` into that server OR perhaps even pick up the DVB-S tuner directly? and then use Kodi as the client? So I looked at a bunch of options, and finally found out about Emby. Now I have a separate Kodi box running on Raspberry Pi 3 (using openElec), and the "simple IPTV" player was amazing!Ĭhannel switching is fast, EPG is great etc, but no recording!. To that end, I've looked at other UI /clients I could use, then I realised I could create `m3u` playlists via the OpenWebIf and use ANY standard IPTV player client, now this opened up a LOT of possibilities. However I just find everything a bit clunky from a UI experience (almost all of it around the recording UX). I have a zgemma (H9 Twin 4K 1TB HDD), and have flashed OpenATV + wooshbuild and using the SkyQ skin, all working nice.
Emby client docker tv#
This allows you set recording to start X minutes early and finish Y minutes late.Ĭongratulations, your Emby Server should now be configured properly and ready to use for Live TV and DVR.Hi all, I need some help and I'm not sure if this is the best place. These options include:ĭefault Pre and Post recording padding times. You can optionally change a few options used for DVR purposes. The final step of setting up Live TV is matching the tuner's stations to the Guide Data you have setup. Support for additional sources can be added by installing a Live TV Plugin.
Emby client docker free#
You can use Emby to eliminate the need for cable STBs (Set Top Boxes) or you can eliminate your cable provider entirely by cutting the cord and switching to OTA (Over the Air) broadcasts for local channels.Įmby provides free guide data (US, UK & Canada) right out of the box at no additional cost. With Emby’s TV you will be able to stream Live or Recorded TV content to any device you have with an Emby client or web browser. Emby provides a flexible and very powerful Live TV and DVR solution.
